Children who will be attending the Three-Year-Old
Class must be three years old by next December 31st. Children
who will be attending the Four-Year-Old Class must be four
years old by next December 31st. Toddlers need to be at least
2 years, 4 months old by September 1st.
We offer an optional 4th and 5th day for children
enrolled in any of the Four-Year-Old Classes. These Pre-K
Enrichment classes begin in October and are offered on Tuesday
and Thursday afternoons. Children in any 4-year-old class
(A.M. or P.M.) can attend either the Tuesday or Thursday Enrichment
class as an optional 4th day, or they can attend both Enrichment
classes for a total of 5 days. We also have a morning 5-day
advanced class for Four-Year-Olds..
Toddlers do not have to be potty trained. We
prefer all children in the Three-Year-Old Classes to be potty
trained by September. We realize that this will be a new experience
for most of them so the teachers will help them on and off
of the toilet seat and with wiping until they are ready to
do this on their own. They will continue to stay with them.
If your child will be going into a Three-Year-Old Class and
is not yet potty trained, keep on trying but please do not
become stressed or let your child become upset about this.
Do the best you can. They will become trained at some point
during the school year. If a child is regularly having a "bathroom
accident" in school, a parent must come in to change them.
All children going into the Four-Year-Old Classes must be
completely potty trained before school starts..
Our school year, including all holidays follows
the Three Village School calendar. For school closings due
to emergencies or inclement weather, please listen to WBLI-FM
(106.1), WALK-FM (97.5), WBAB (102.3) or watch cable Channel
12. School closing information will also be posted on our
website and each family will receive a call from a class parent.
